Tom Wilmer Has Lots (and Lots) of News

Whew! Hard to keep up with Tom Wilmer, but here’s the latest from this prolific member:
Tom’s NPR affiliate is in partnership with Sunset magazine for the upcoming Sunset Savor the Central Coast event this fall. “Sunset targeted 10 podcast shows for me to produce about the event, including three segments with Sunset‘s wine editor,” Tom says. Sunset has posted the audio series on their Savor website under Audio: http://www.savorcentralcoast.com/media   https://www.facebook.com/SavorCC
Equally cool, Tourism Ireland, in partnership with the Northern Ireland Tourist Board, the town of Belfast and Northern Ireland National Museums, has created the Titanic.com website to promote the Titanic’s Belfast legacy as a tourist draw. They loved his audio series so much that they created a most flattering web showcase of his Titanic shows, along with a photo gallery of him interviewing in Belfast, along with a half-hour special about Ireland and the North as a destination. http://www.the-titanic.com/Media-Gallery/Audio.aspx
While in Belfast, Northern Ireland Tourist Board asked him to be in a video production for airing in Belfast about the Titanic Museum that is presently under construction. They put the show on YouTube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I75Q-O44cCQ&NR=1
And then, a SLO County magazine did a wonderful two-page feature on his journalism career in the August edition: http://issuu.com/journalplus/docs/8-11_journal_plusweb?mode=embed&layout=http%3A%2F%2Fskin.issuu.com%2Fv%2Fcolor%2Flayout.xml&backgroundColor=000000&showFlipBtn=true
And then, Wagstaff loved the Top of The Mark radio show he did, which they set up, and asked if they could put the link (still to come) on their corporate website: Top of the Mark—Mark Hopkins Hotel SF http://kcbx.org/mp3archive/audlog_mark.mp3
And then, he just produced a cool half-hour special with the CHP Air Ops Division…he even flew with them on a helicopter mission. Their show aired a couple weeks ago. (“I produced a way awesome MPEG4 video slide show for the CHP about their helo rescue missions. I also put it up on my own YouTube site-they did not care. It is only about 5 minutes long, but some of the shots they gave me to infill were amazing, especially the rescue on the cliffs below Bixby Bridge in Big Sur,” he says): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KY3gc_rdn64
