Natasha Bourlin Covers Hawaii in the Wake of Volcanic Eruption

After living on Hawai’i Island for months this past summer, Natasha Bourlin explored and researched many of the new features and areas that emerged in the wake of Kilauea’s 2018 eruption. Immersing herself in the local culture, she learned from locals how dramatically the eruption had affected the island’s tourism and business.
Interviews were conducted with Hawai’i Volcanoes National Park directors, as well as the tourism board and island business owners, while firsthand excursions illustrated the newly evolved landscape for Bourlin.
