Where: Mort Beebe’s condominium meeting room, 150 Lombard, San Francisco (between Sansome and Montgomery)
Just back from a lengthy sojourn in India, Morton Beebe will spin tales of his adventures in Rajasthan, Delhi, Agra and at the Taj Mahal, and show photos guaranteed to dazzle. As you may know, Mort is an internationally renowned and award-winning photographer, explorer and author. His works have been widely exhibited in museums and galleries, and have been published in National Geographic, Geo, Life, Smithsonian, Travel and Leisure and other media. Among his best-selling books are Operation Deep Freeze, Antarctica; and San Francisco: City by the Bay, now in a third edition. A film producer, a documentarian of the City by the Bay and a member of the Explorers Club, Mort has been a stalwart supporter of BATW and is the recipient of our Rebecca Bruns Award.
Directions: Embarcadero BART station; walk 15 minutes or take Embarcadero streetcar to Lombard.
